Twitter Relaxes 140-Character Rule

Trying to fit everything into 140 characters can be a frustrating experience. But as of today, any media included in a tweet won't count toward the limit. So any GIFs, videos or photos you include in a tweet won't cut into your allowance. What's more, any "@" replies won't count toward the 140 limit either. The social network tweeted the change on Monday evening.
