Meredith will release the first issue of
The Magnolia Journal, a new quarterly lifestyle magazine, in collaboration with Joanna and Chip Gaines, stars of the HGTV show “Fixer
Upper.”
The Magnolia Journal is the first print extension of the Gaines’ Magnolia brand, which consists of the Magnolia Market store in Waco, Texas, a vacation
rental called Magnolia House and Joanna’s Magnolia Home partnerships. (She has developed furniture, paint, textile and wall covering lines.)
According to a statement, The
Magnolia Journal magazine covers entertaining, gardening, outdoor living, family, food and healthy living. It "showcased through the Gaines’ signature rustic, back-to-our-roots aesthetic
and focus on idea-rich content that encourages readers to dive in and try something new.”

The fall 2016 issue will release 400,000 copies at newsstands nationwide for $7.99 per
copy.
“The Meredith team worked with Joanna and her staff to create a design that is light, fresh, easy to read, and ultimately captures the modern rustic style that Magnolia
is known for,” stated Meredith Core Media editorial content director Doug Kouma.
