Tremor Video Sees Q3 Revenue Weakness, Programmatic Spend Up

Tremor Video reported third-quarter earnings late Thursday, showing revenue down 1% for the quarter year-over-year, to $41.3 million. However, that’s an improvement over Q2, when the company saw a 12% decline in revenue year-over-year.

For Q3, Tremor, a software provider for video ad effectiveness, showed strong demand for programmatic media. The company said that 91% of its spend comes from programmatic and cross-screen ad units, vs. 9% from its regular media business.

In addition, gross profits for Q3 increased 6% to $18.6 million ,and total spend on Tremor’s platform increased 29% year-over-year to $63.5 million. The company broke even on cash flow.

“In the third quarter we delivered profitable EBITDA and strong growth in our total spend,” stated Bill Day, Tremor Video CEO. “Our platform continues to scale, with programmatic spend more than doubling year-over-year.”
