BPA Worldwide, the not-for-profit assurance provider for media businesses, said it has launched a TAG Certification Toolkit to help media businesses and agencies better understand the compliance
guidelines established by TAG (The Trustworthy Accountability Group). TAG's cross-industry accountability program is dedicated to fostering transparency, and combating fraud, malware, and Internet
piracy across the digital advertising supply chain.
BPA Worldwide said it developed the TAG Certification Toolkit to help
companies better understand the TAG guidelines, easily identify the requirements, and achieve TAG Certification.
“Now that all the programs—fraud, malware, piracy, and
inventory—have been released, we’ve seen a marked increase in companies interested in becoming TAG-certified, but they need help,” Richard Murphy, BPA’s senior vice president
of technology assurance, told Real-Time Daily via email. “We developed the TAG Compliance Tool to help compliance officers benchmark their current TAG compliance levels and plan for
future certification.”
“BPA’s audit tool distilled the requirements of the TAG guidelines into an easy-to-follow tracking document that we found extremely helpful
during the pre-audit preparation phase and throughout the life of the audit,” stated Jeff Barry, vice president, operations, Sovrn.
“The templates and checklists they provided for
each certification made it easy for us to see where we had gaps in our processes and documentation,” stated Chris Hallenbeck, director of traffic quality Operations, OpenX.
