Real-Time Daily's Personnel News: Week Of March 27

Ad-tech firm Criteo named Greg Archibald (pictured) executive vice president, Americas, to lead sales efforts.

Reporting to Mollie Spilman, chief revenue officer, Archibald will oversee Criteo’s Americas sales team and be responsible for all revenue operations. Archibald said he’ll focus on positioning Criteo as a multiproduct company vs. a single-product company. To date, he said the company has been most identified with dynamic retargeting. “What my team and I are focused on is how to expand adoption for all the products—Criteo Predictive Search, Sponsored Products, and User Graph, a cross-device/omni-channel solution.”

Archibald joins Criteo after four years as CRO at NinthDecimal, a mobile location data provider, where he'll remain an advisor. Prior to NinthDecimal, he held senior positions at Datalogix, Yahoo, and Intuit. During his stint at Yahoo from 2006 to 2012, he collaborated with Spilman when she headed marketing at the Internet giant.

Nexstar Media Group named former Rubicon Project president and board member Gregory Raifman president of Nexstar Digital LLC, a newly created position. Raifman is tasked with managing operations, including the development and implementation of the company’s digital business strategy, and will lead the integration of existing and recently acquired digital products. He’ll also identify new investment opportunities.

Raifman’s appointment follows the merger of Nexstar’s local digital advertising and content monetization products into one wholly owned subsidiary company: Nexstar Digital, LLC in the U.S.

In addition to Rubicon, Raifman served as the founder, chairman and CEO of ad-tech firm Mediaplex, which merged with ValueClick in 2001. He also served as executive chairman of LiveRail and helped the company segue from a video ad exchange to real-time bidding.

TabMo named Dan Read to the position of head of trading and sales, a newly created role. Mobsta’s former head of trading, Read is tasked with managing TabMo’s commercial strategy as the company aims to build its U.K. customer base. Prior to Mobsta, Read held positions at Weve, OMD, and Vizeum.

OpenX expanded its EMEA team with the hire of Dominic Trigg as vice president for the region. Trigg will be based in OpenX’s London office, where he’ll lead the partner services organization. Prior to OpenX, Trigg was senior vice president and general manager of EMEA and emerging markets for Rocket Fuel, responsible for spearheading the company’s expansion into Europe. Trigg also held executive positions at Tradedoubler, Infospace, and Yahoo in Europe.

OpenX also said Richard Kidd was promoted from commercial director, Germany, to vice president, head of business development, EMEA.

Dan Petty was appointed by Digital First Media to serve as its first director of audience development. Petty will focus on audience initiatives companywide, including digital audience strategy, distribution, social media, technology and management. Previously, Petty was senior editor at The Denver Post, tasked with amplifying the publication's reach across digital channels.
