Cosomopolitan.com Launches Wedding Hub

Cosmopolitan.com launched a Wedding hub to house its bridal-themed content, including wedding fashion trends, makeup tips, decor hacks and celebrity wedding news.

The debut of the channel last week coincided with the start of spring’s bridal fashion week in New York.

The tagline of the new Wedding hub is: “Everything brides, aspiring brides, non-aspiring brides, and the most faithful of partiers need to know about weddings and getting married.”

Stories range from “Rachel Zoe's Tips for Rewearing Your Bridesmaid's Dress” to “21 Super-Easy Bridal Floral Hacks That Will Save You a Ton of Money” and “Millennials Are Buying This Surprising Type of Engagement Ring Now.”

Amy Odell, editor of Cosmopolitan.com, told Publishers Daily the launch of the hub represents the brand’s commitment to more original reporting, photography and features in the bridal and bachelorette space.

Some 10% of Cosmopolitan.com’s visitors are “very likely” to get engaged in the next 12 months, according to comScore data cited by Cosmopolitan.

Wedding content is a popular category for Cosmopolitan.com. In the past year, its third most-visited page across the site was a wedding-related piece: “Here’s What Weddings Looked Like the Year You Were Born.”

In March, the fourth most-visited page on Cosmopolitan.com was the millennial engagement ring story.
