Charleston, SC-based Blackwell and Co. is growing and the agency has decided to expand by opening a new office in Charlotte, North Carolina. The new office will focus on the agency's growth in the visual production and design areas.

Of the expansion, Blackwell and Co. Principal Steve Blackwell said, “I’ve actually been thinking about it for years. We’ve been doing work all around the country, and sometimes it’s a bit difficult to get to places in a timely and cost-effective manner in Charleston.”

The agency has done work for Toyota, Verizon and Acordia National when it merged with Wells Fargo.

With a smart and practical outlook towards the future, Blackwell added, “Last year was the biggest year we’ve probably had. But I know a downturn is going to happen again. I don’t know when, but it’s happening. I knew I had to have a plan to just be more nimble and go to places [Charlotte] where there are more opportunities.”
