Dotmailer, the provider of an email marketing platform, is joining the Shopify Plus Technology Partner program, allowing users to leverage the technologies of both firms. The news was announced at
the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition.
Shopify Plus merchants can use dotmailer’s Commerce Flow to synchronize customer contact data and purchase history to send relevant
marketing emails, the firms claimed. And merchants can use data from the Shopify Plus platform to send personalized messages.
Both companies cater to “high-growth, high volume
merchants,” the firms said in their announcement.
The combined service includes these features:
- Simple Setup – This entails connecting Shopify Plus and
dotmailer accounts, and using the data for email campaigns.
- Advanced Automation – Users can build and automate email programs, using Program Builder, a drop-and-drag
automation tool in dotmailer.
- Segmentation – This feature allows marketers to build targeted segments based on Shopify Plus transactional data or customer data.
- Showcase products – Merchants can sync their product catalogs with dotmailer and add them to their email campaigns.
