Gallegos United Names New Co-President-CCO

When Huntington Beach, CA-based Gallegos United's Dave Damman decided to resign as co-president and chief creative officer in order to return to Minneapolis to be with his family, he knew the perfect person to replace him: his ex-Fallon colleague Harvey Marco.

Marco has been named to succeed him.

Marco's experience includes time at JWT NY, Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles, and most recently, WPP’s Garage Team Mazda, an agency he helped launch.

The 20-year veteran's creative portfolio features work for Human Rights Watch, Lee Jeans, Macy’s, Citi Bank, Miller Lite, Toyota and the ‘Driving Matters’ campaign for Mazda.

In his new role, Marcos will work alongside fellow co-president Andrew Delbridge to oversee clients including Comcast, Coronado Brewing Co., California Milk Processor Board (Got Milk?), TurboTax and KIA.

Damman was instrumental in ensuring the agency was in good hands before his departure, which is effective at the end of July.

He helped to reshape the agency, including playing a large role in the recent formation of United Collective, which brought together several different shops under one umbrella and pushed both Gallegos United and sister content production agency, LUNA United to expand their scopes of expertise.

“We’re certainly sad to see Dave go, but we’re not naïve to the fact that there is more to life than what happens within the agency’s four walls,” said John Gallegos, CEO, United Collective. “Dave has been an agent of change at Gallegos United; and it is with a tremendous amount of gratitude and respect that we say goodbye to Dave.”
