TBWA Worldwide has appointed Amie Miller its chief talent officer, a new role at the agency.
Miller will lead talent recruitment, human resources, training, career development and culture practices across TBWA. Those duties (among others) had previously been handled by Emmanuel Andre, who is joining Publicis Groupe as its first chief talent officer, the holding company confirmed earlier today.
According to the agency, one of Miller’s key responsibilities will be to take steps to achieve a more equal and diverse company. The agency has set a goal of achieving a gender-balanced workplace, with an initial target of increasing women in leadership roles across the TBWA collective by 20% by the year 2020.
Miller had been chief talent officer for the agency’s New York office since earlier this year, when she joined the shop from MDC Partners where she held the same position.

Miller will remain based in the company’s global headquarters in New York. She will report to TBWA Worldwide CEO Troy Ruhanen who commented that she “has a true gift for identifying and nurturing talent. In her time in New York, she has impressed at every turn. Her combination of experience at top creative agencies and a holding company makes her an ideal fit for the global chief talent officer” role.
