UK Seeks Post-Brexit Data Protection Recognition

The UK government said that it hopes to reach a swift agreement with the European Union on privacy. The deal would cover “mutual recognition in data protection and information-sharing on individuals and bank details before reaching a more permanent deal.” This will foster cross-border regulatory cooperation during negotiations over Brexit, the government says, according to Law360.
