Google Scanning Deal Runs Out In Three Years: Report

The proposed settlement of a class-action suit against Google over its scanning of email for advertising purposes could have temporary impact. Restrictions on Google expire in three years, ArsTechnica claims, quoting court documents. US District Judge Lucy Koh gave preliminary approval of the settlement last week.
