Squarespace Doesn't Want You To Get Lost In The Shuffle

Digital content management provider Squarespace is launching a new campaign that uses humor to illustrate how there are too many somewhat boring and ho-hum online websites in the world.

Developed with Squarespace's in-house team, the "Make It Stand Out" creative uses a tongue-in-cheek data-driven approach to illustrate that there are 132 bands named Atlas and 65,924 folks who brand themselves as “storytellers.”

In the campaign Squarespace positions itself as an alternative provider that can help customers stand out from the competition with beautiful and distinctive websites.

In addition, the new "Make It Yourself" creative introduces three customers--designer Sadie Williams, chef Danny Bowien, and artist Daniel Arsham--who encourage others to pursue their passions.

"We wanted to communicate the powerful DIY philosophy behind our platform while inspiring people everywhere to carpe diem and go after their dreams," the company stated.

The ads will run on local TV, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

The campaign follows its earlier effort this year that kicked off with a Super Bowl ad featuring John Malkovich.
