SendinBlue Raises $36 Million In Series A Funding

SendinBlue, a software provider that helps small businesses use and integrate email, SMS and other channels, has raised $36 million in Series A funding.

The round, led by Partech Ventures, will enable the Seattle-based firm to expand its product offerings and make 100 new hires, the company says.

In addition, the new investment will allow SendinBlue to expand its “integration ecosystem,” which now includes WordPress and other platforms.

"With just $1 million in outside investment to date, the company has grown its customer base more than 100% every year and achieved profitability,” states Mark Menell, general partner at Partech Ventures. Menell adds that small businesses need services “without the price tag or the learning curve of enterprise tools.”

SendinBlue's digital marketing suite enables clients to send and track integrated campaigns via email and SMS, the company says. It will also soon cover other advertising channels.

Ionut Neagu, founder of CodeinWP, says he has used SendinBlue's solution stack “at three separate ventures, gaining 10,000 new customers."

SendinBlue was founded in 2012 by Armand Thiberge and Kapil Sharma. It was later joined by Amalia Bercot as CMO and Mickael Arias as CTO.

The company says its platform reaches 300 million customers per month in 140 countries.
