    Two possible causes?

    1. TV ads are worse than online ads.
    2. TV ads are watched more than TV ads.

    What says you?

Your second cause is probably the right one, John. We estimate that the average adult notes about five times more ads per day on TV than on digital venues. I'm revisiting this as we prepare our annual, "Intermedia Dimensions 2018", but I doubt that the spread will close significantly.

Mea culpa.   The 2nd option should read:

    2. TV ads are watched more that online ads.

    Apologies for any confusion.
