McCann Worldgroup has promoted Devika Bulchandani to president of McCann New York. She succeeds Chris MacDonald in the role.

MacDonald, to whom Bulchandani reports, was named president of the New York office in 2013. Last year, he was named president of McCann North America, retaining his duties overseeing the New York agency. 

Bulchandani, who recently served as managing director of McCann New York, has held various leadership roles there, including head of global strategy. She also served as president of McCann XBC, the unit dedicated to the MasterCard account. 

MacDonald is also taking on additional duties and will now lead all Worldgroup North American advertising agencies. In his North American role, he will report to Luca Lindner, president of McCann Worldgroup. 

In addition, Suzanne Powers has been named Global Chief Strategy Officer of McCann Worldgroup, expanding her strategy role across all Worldgroup units. Powers joined the agency in 2013 as Global Chief Strategy Officer of the McCann worldwide agency network.
