Mediaocean Names Markman President/COO

Iván Markman has taken on a newly created role at Mediaocean: President/Chief Operating Officer.

Markman is responsible for global operations, reporting to CEO Bill Wise.

The AI partner for omnichannel advertising has various platforms — Innovid, Prisma and Protected — designed to unify workflow, and data as advertising adapts to a changing tech landscape.

Markman is charged with driving faster innovation and stronger outcomes for clients.

Previously, he led Yahoo’s B2B division, overseeing ad tech, search, and Edgecast, which together represented the majority of the company’s revenue and operations. He handled a multi-year transformation, resulted in in Verizon Media’s $5 billion sale to Apollo.

Earlier in his career, Markman served as COO of MarketShare and led Neustar's Marketing Services business.

Wise said: “As we continue to advance our AI capabilities and bring more intelligence and automation into the core of advertising, Iván’s experience across ad tech, data, and enterprise platforms will be critical in helping us translate that innovation into execution and results.”

Markman’s appointment follows a series of recent leadership advancements at Mediaocean, executive team, including the elevation of Zvika Netter to Chief Innovation Officer and Guy Kuperman to Chief Strategy Officer.

Mediaocean claims more than $200 billion in annualized ad spend.
