IPG's Genuine Names Haarmann EVP, Managing Director

Boston-based digital agency Genuine has hired Tim Haarmann as its new executive vice president and managing director. He’ll be responsible for managing the agency’s day-to-day operations and for developing its strategic growth plan. 

Genuine Founder Chris Pape, who handled those duties in the past will now take on the role of Chairman. He's also been Chief Creative Officer but now Stephen Potter, senior vice president, creative director will assume all creative duties at the agency, which was acquired by Interpublic Group in 2014.

Prior to joining Genuine, Haarmann was executive vice president and head of account management for North America at DigitasLBi. Prior to DigitasLBi, Haarmann was marketing director for Enterasys Networks. The 20-plus year industry veteran has worked with brands such as General Motors, Xerox, Goodyear, Ally Financial and Dow. 

Pape stated, “Tim is a proven digital leader who will drive both new client acquisition and the organic growth of existing client relationships. I’m excited about the next stage of Genuine’s growth under Tim’s leadership and partnership.” 

Agency clients include Welch's, Athenahealth, PTC, Baxter, Seqirus, BIC, iRobot, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center among others. In addition to its Boston headquarters it has offices in New York City, Chicago and San Francisco.
