iHeartRadio Adds Alpha Media Stations To Enhance Local Reach

To help prevent users from switching audio platforms, 200+ Alpha stations will be added to iHeartRadio, the free digital music and live-streaming service.

Alpha Media radio stations in 50 markets will be available cross-platform, including car, home and mobile devices. The company counts stations from Palm Springs, California to West Palm Beach, Florida.

Station rollout begins today, with all stations available in the coming weeks.

In addition to the 228 radio stations and websites, Alpha Media owns various performance venues, such as PDX Live Studio in Portland, Oregon and the Alamo Lounge in San Antonio, Texas.

Alpha Media CEO Bob Proffitt stated that the partnership “allows us to super serve our fans by reaching them whenever and wherever they choose to listen to us.”

iHeartRadio offers on-demand functionality with iHeartRadio Plus and iHeartRadio All Access Powered by Napster to maintain radio’s interactive draw. New subscription features include personal music libraries and playlists. iHeartRadio claims it reaches 100 million registered users.
