McPherson Joins Movable Ink As Senior VP Of Marketing

Movable Ink, a provider of software that helps clients send intelligent email content, has appointed Dee Anna McPherson to the newly created position of senior VP of marketing.

McPherson previously served as VP of marketing for Hootsuite, and held the same title at Yammer. She also has been president, CMO and co-founder of  mom.life, and a partner in Horn Group.

She will be based in San Francisco and lead global marketing strategy and programs to drive growth for the company’s intelligent content platform.

McPherson has developed software brands from their early stages through valuations of more than $1 billion, building “world-class marketing teams and programs,” according to Vivek Sharma, CEO of Movable Ink.

During her tenure, Hootsuite grew into a social media brand with over 15 million users, 8 million Twitter followers and hundreds of thousands of engaged fans on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, Movable Ink reports.

At Yammer, she helped position the company as a market leader, leading to 300% annual growth and a $1.2 billion acquisition by Microsoft, the company continues.

Movable Ink offers content software that allows marketers to personalize email content at the point it is being opened, the firm says.
