Adam Grohs Out At SapientRazorfish After Sex Discrimination Complaints

SapientRazorfish is parting ways with Adam Grohs after several complaints allege that he discriminated against women and created a hostile work environment.

"We take all issues presented to HR very seriously and thoughtfully," says a SapientRazorfish spokesperson. "The Company encourages and promotes a comfortable and conducive work environment for all our employees. We do not tolerate behavior that in any way disrupts this environment.

"While we do not discuss internal issues, we can acknowledge that there were concerns raised regarding Adam, and we’ve dealt with those issues."

The Publicis Groupe-backed agency confirms that Monday, December 11, was his last day.

An agency spokesperson was not sure who is taking over his responsibilities or whether he received severance. His dismissal was undeniably abrupt, as his Twitter profile still lists him as head of business development, SapientRazorfish North America.

Ad Agereports that several different women raised concerns over his behavior, both formally and informally, over the past few years. "He's a bully," one woman who filed the complaint told Ad Age. Another said Grohs had been "very rude and dismissive." Yet another women reported that "he loved junior women who would suck up to him."

Earlier this year, Grohs was promoted from regional business lead to his most recent role of overseeing all North America growth.
