Writers are decrying the folding of TinyLetter, a free email newsletter tool, into MailChimp.
Inc. reported
last month that the service will be integrated into MailChimp, which acquired it in 2011. The news took off on Twitter Tuesday, driving an immediate response by users, Slate adds.
One writer complained: “I
am always late to the party, I started a tinyletter just in time for Mail Chimp to phase it out, apparently,” according to Slate.
Another wrote: “Huh, first Storify now this.
Why can’t we keep the nice things?”
According to Inc., MailChimp CEO Ben Chestnut confirmed that the service will be integrated into MailChimp.
The firm had described
TinyLetter as follows: “Tiny Letter for people what MailChimp is for business: we help you have engaging conversations with your followers."
