Esquire has partnered with Fine
Furniture Design to license a collection of home furniture to go on sale later this year at furniture retailers nationwide.
The partnership is “an excellent opportunity to create
enterprise value with a best-in-class manufacturer bringing the spirit of our brand to a new audience,” stated Steve Ross, global chief licensing director and head of brand development
at Esquire parent Hearst Magazines.
The furniture line will debut at the 2018 Spring High Point Market in April, with 50 items for the bedroom, dining room and living
spaces.
The line will be called the Esquire Home Collection by Fine Furniture Design.
Though Esquire is a men’s style and culture magazine, Hearst says the
collection will have gender-neutral designs to appeal to both men and women.

A number of magazines have licensed product lines and furniture collections to expand their brand and create a new
revenue stream.
Coastal Living, which was owned by Time Inc. before the publisher was bought by Meredith Corp., launched a collection of furniture, bedding and bath items at Bed
Bath & Beyond in May 2016. Real Simple, another former Time Inc. title, also has a line of furniture at Bed Bath & Beyond.
