Publicis Media Taps Ali Nehme For New Commerce Lead Role

Publicis Media (PM) is shifting Ali Nehme, current president of commerce & innovation for the Europe Middle East and Africa region, to the newly created role of global practice lead, commerce. 

In the new assignment, Nehme will oversee the group’s global commerce practice, with a remit to scale and accelerate the organization’s existing commerce capabilities and talent.

Nehme’s purview will span commerce strategy, media and marketplace investment, as well as content and merchandising. 

The rejiggering is designed to help clients manage the complexity of their direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites and eRetailers. Also Nehme and his team will manage product presence on eRetailers through content design, production and optimization to improve brand visibility and consumer experience.

The global commerce practice is seen by the company as part of an end-to-end solution for clients spanning Publicis.Sapient and Publicis Communications to bring together technology infrastructure, media and creative. 

Based in Dubai, Nehme will report to Digitas global brand president Michael Kahn, who will also serve as executive sponsor of the Commerce Practice.
