That's A Wrap: Lyft Celebrates Drivers And Their Diverse Cultures

Lyft and agency Huge are recognizing May's International Cultural Awareness Month in Washington, D.C., with an activation connected to Passport DC, a cultural festival that highlights the city's international diplomatic community.

Lyft, serving as the event's exclusive ride share partner, introduced "Passport Mode" rides that selected drivers with international backgrounds and created intricate artwork wraps for vehicles, each representing the culture from which the driver hails, including Brazil, Morocco, and Peru.

Passengers who hail a Lyft in the specially designed Passport Mode — with a minimum $5 ride — receive souvenir passports, custom stamps and "passport photos” from their trips.

While the full experience lasted only through the first weekend in May, these Lyft cars remain parked in popular areas around D.C. throughout the month for photo opportunities to allow those not able to catch a ride to experience the activation.

Lyft has regularly developed campaigns around its "Modes," exclusive themed ride experiences that pop up in cities across the U.S., including the Huge-designed Merry Mode campaign that celebrated last year's holiday season.
