FW Publishing Buys Home Page Media Group, Expands Local Tennessee Coverage

Nashville-based FW Publishing has added to its roster. The company has acquired online publishers Home Page Media Group, which comprises hyper-local online news sites in Tennessee.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

FWP owns the Nashville Scene, Nashville Post, which publishes a quarterly business magazine and twice-daily email newsletters, and Nfocus.

The company said the staff of Home Page Media will continue in their positions.

Home Page Media Group was launched in 2009 to publish a hyper-local daily online newspaper called Brentwood Home Page. It has since expanded to seven other middle Tennessee sites, including Franklin Home Page, Spring Hill Home Page and the latest 2017 launch, Summer Home Page, as well asBusiness Williamson.

Bill Freeman, who created FW Publishing with partner Jimmy Webb, called Home Page Media, “a pioneer in the expansion of intensely local news, business and sports coverage.”

“We have significantly grown our coverage of Williamson County communities and businesses during the past eight years, and now is the right time to partner with a locally owned and engaged media company to take that growth to the next step,” says Kelly Gilfillan, cofounder-CEO, Home Page Media.

Per Home Page Media, Brentwood Home Page, Franklin Home Page, Nolensville Home Page, Spring Hill Home Page, and Style Home Page reach a combined audience of 215,00 unique visitors and record 846,200 page views per month.

FWP also owns Freeman Webb Company, the largest owner-manager of apartments in Tennessee and one of the largest in the Southeast.
