EdgeWave, an email security firm, has named Steve Kelly as CEO. He replaces Louis Ryan, who will continue as chairman of the board.

Kelley previously held the title of president. Prior to joining EdgeWave, he cofounded and served as CEO of Taasera. He started his career at Accenture. 

Ryan has been a member of the board since 2006, and chairman since 2008. He has served in leadership roles at several tech startups, including Delrina and Living VideoText and Entercept Security Technology.

Kelley and Ryan will work to bring the company through its next growth phase, the firm says. 

EdgeWave specializes in eliminating email-borne security risks and socially engineered attacks for companies.
