Hulu Taps YouTube Exec To Lead Content Partnerships

Hulu has tapped Heather Moosnick to serve as senior vice president, content partnerships. Moosnick will lead the team tasked with driving the company’s content acquisition strategy, including full series libraries, movies, network TV shows and new content opportunities.

The content partnerships team acquires TV series and movies and manages Hulu’s relationship to TV networks. However, Moosnick will also expand the company’s offerings without interfering with the company’s original programming team.

Specifically, she will “work closely with the company’s originals, marketing, product, and technology leadership to create more personalized, localized and curated program offerings for consumers,” Hulu says.

She joins an executive team that was almost entirely reorganized in June.

Moosnick joins Hulu from Google, where she was head, global business development, strategy and content partner management for YouTube TV, overseeing the platform’s partnerships with TV networks and affiliates.

She previously led music label partnerships for YouTube and served in senior roles at Warner Music Group and CBS Interactive.

Moosnick will start Nov. 12, and will report to Hulu CEO Randy Freer.
