Now, when riders request
a lift through Via’s ride-sharing app, a personalized news feed will show up from Taboola News.
The new feed is meant to provide riders a source of entertainment during their wait. It
also offers a new platform for Taboola and its partners, including USA Today, HuffPost, MSN, Business Insider, The
Independent, Welt, L’Expressand The Weather Channel, to secure a new revenue source.
“The ability to discover things that are
relevant to you is now an innate part of every user experience. There is value to bringing that ‘moment of next’ ...” stated Adam Singolda, founder and CEO, Taboola.
Taboola
News launched earlier this year with OEMs/Carriers to bring its feed to mobile Android devices. Taboola’s partnership with Via marks the first time its feed appears on a ride-sharing app.
