Eastern Carolina Organics (ECO) is appointing The Republik as the producer's first-ever agency of record following a formal review.

Founded in 2004, ECO is designed to help transition tobacco farmers into organic vegetable production. 

The remit includes development of a three-year brand development plan that will progress from internal branding and logo development to online, social, and then paid media advertising. 

"The review was for brand development and marketing strategy," says Robert Shaw West, CEO, The Republik. "They wanted an agency that could save them having to staff up an internal department to fill those needs.”

The intent is to transform ECO into a name brand organic produce line, though currently the business only ships throughout the eastern half of the U.S.
