Next year’s Super Bowl will have fewer ad breaks, but
not fewer commercials. I
n an effort to improve the viewer experience, The NFL and Fox will run four ad breaks per
quarter instead of the five they have run for the past three decades. Each break will be 30 seconds longer. The NFL approached Fox with the idea, presenting research that showed viewers and fans at
the game felt the pace was better with fewer breaks, according to
Sports Business Daily.
