Lexus Jet Revealed For 'Men In Black'

Now that vehicle product placement in movies has become somewhat commonplace, Lexus is upping the game with the introduction of the first-ever Lexus Jet, the Lexus QZ 618 Galactic Enforcer, in “Men In Black: International,” which opens Friday.

The high-tech jet plays a critical role in helping the agents protect the earth from the scum of the universe. What first appears as a Lexus RC F performance coupe morphs just when it's needed most into a jet with fantastical super powers.

Currently available only to MIB agents, it is powered by hybrid transformer technology. With the push of a button it morphs from a 2020 Lexus RC F sport coupe into the most powerful IFO (Identified Flying Object) ever engineered by Lexus. It is also the only Lexus available in the darkest black in the entire universe: Umbra Black.

“The Lexus jet reflects the future of the Lexus brand -- the far, far distant future,” states Lisa Materazzo, vice president of Lexus marketing. “With the most advanced alien-fighting technology, performance and sophisticated styling, it’s in a class of its own.”

The Lexus dealership in Thousand Oaks, Calif. had some MIB-related fun, pulling a prank involving an employee being transformed into an alien-housing vessel. A video was created of the special effects used to make his double and the reaction of the customers who encountered the creepy client who comes out of his belly.

Next up: a “Men in Black”-inspired RC F customized by Gordon Ting of Beyond Marketing will make the auto show rounds. It was at the movie’s premiere Tuesday night in New York.
