David Cohen, a 20-plus year veteran of IPG Mediabrands, is departing to pursue new opportunities at the end of June.

The news was disclosed in a company memo from Philippe Krakowsky, Chairman-CEO of IPG Mediabrands.

Most recently, Cohen served as president, North America at MAGNA, the company’s investment and intelligence arm. Among other positions, he served as Chief Investment Officer at UM.

“David is an experienced and skilled negotiator, an industry thought leader who has been quoted by virtually every reporter in our space, and a leader who has built strong teams,” Krakowsky wrote. “ Over the years, he has helped pitch and win new business and ensure our approach to the market was strategic and future-focused.” 

Krakowsky added that Cohen’s “directness has always been tempered by his dry humor, which I know will be missed.”
