Wunderman Thompson, the recently minted WPP shop, has been busy building out its North America leadership team.
The latest additions include three female executives. Liz Valentine, CEO-cofounder of Portland, OR-based WPP digital agency Swift, has been promoted to CEO WT West and will oversee the agency’s operations in California, Seattle and Denver, as well as the mobile business. She’ll retain her Swift CEO duties, as well.
Two other executives are joining the network from other agencies.
Melissa Dorko has been appointed Chief Growth Officer, North America. She joins from Isobar, where she held a similar post. Earlier, she held roles at SapientRazorfish, Resource Interactive (now IBM ix) and Fitch.
Carrie Philpott has been named president, Wunderman Thompson Atlanta. The 20-year-plus ad pro was most recently managing director at Huge Atlanta.
These new appointments follow a batch of North America C-level job announcements at the agency, including COO, CFO and jobs overseeing talent, strategy and clients.
WPP formed WT last fall by combining Wunderman with J. Walter Thompson. In December, Shane Atchison rejoined WPP (he had been CEO at Possible for a time) as WT North America CEO.
