LiveIntent, the provider of an identity platform powered by email addresses, has hired Jon DeGennaro as VP of Identity Sales.
DeGennaro's goal will be to lead growth for the firm’s new onboarding service.
In his previous post, DeGennaro served as VP, enterprise partnerships at Drawbridge for over two years.
The company launched its onboarding service in April, designed to help brands benefit directly from first-party data by disintermediating the walled gardens that profit from it, the firm says.
"Publishers and brands have used compelling email content to drive consumers to raise their hand and ask for a deeper relationship, and that leaves them in the driver’s seat of this new era," states Brian Silver, president, identity at LiveIntent.
Silver adds that “they should benefit from it by making their inventory more addressable and increasing the effectiveness of marketing.”
DeGennaro notes that when he began selling solutions years ago, "a large part of the sell was education." He adds that "the market has matured significantly and there is unprecedented demand" for independent identity services.
LiveIntent adds that its hash-based identity graph has over 250 million people identified on it.
