Watch Porn, Help Save The Planet

Here’s a way to watch porn guilt-free. I mean if you’re into that sort of thing. I’m not saying I am, mind you.

Porn website Pornhub has launched the “Dirtiest Porn Ever” campaign, which the company says is designed to help clean the world’s dirtiest beaches and raise awareness around the growing pollution problem.

Yes, fellow earthlings, we have a pollution problem, and Pornhub is here to help.

As part of the campaign, Pornhub has launched a video starring the porn star duo known as Leolulu, shot at one of the world’s dirtiest beaches. Having watched the video, I can attest, it’s pretty disgusting, from a pollution standpoint.

Here’s the green part of the campaign pitch: Each time someone watches the video (which Pornhub says is safe for work, check with your HR team just to be sure) in its entirety, Pornhub will make a donation to Ocean Polymers, a nonprofit that has developed a solution to collect and process plastic waste in the world’s oceans.

So watch it. Then watch it again and maybe a third time. And while that should be reward enough, this is Pornhub. And being Pornhub, you guessed it, there’s also a NOT safe for work version of the video that you can access on their site.

“As of today, 12.7 million tons of plastic can be found within the depths of our oceans. What’s perhaps even more shocking is that scientists predict there will be more plastic than fish within our oceans in only 30 years,” said Pornhub vice president Corey Price.

“Ocean pollution has grown to become one of the most significant global issues of our lifetime, and it’s only getting worse. That’s why it’s imperative that we use our platform to raise awareness and inspire change — not just for the time being but for generations to come. We’re dirty here at Pornhub, but that doesn’t mean our beaches need to be,” he added.

In addition to the video, there’s a landing page which features tips on what people can do to help.

The “Dirtiest Porn” campaign follows several other efforts by the firm to raise awareness of environmental problems, including campaigns about the dwindling bee and whale populations.
