Answer: A full-page editorial in the Sept. 4th print edition of The Washington Post calling out Majority Leader Mitch McConnell
for his failure to bring any gun control legislation to vote on the Senate floor.
"Do Something, Mr. McConnell," the editorial's big font headline pleads.
The editorial also is
available via the paper's digital edition, but it was devoting an entire page in its print edition that generated ample news and social media attention, including 253 citations on Google's search

"What if there was a mass shooting in the United States not once or twice or four or six times monthly, but every single day, a big one, the kind that electrifies
social media and squats for days on Page 1 — would that be enough to move Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell from his insistent inertia on gun safety," the paper's editorial asks, adding:
"Would any volume of bloodshed convince the Kentucky Republican that Congress faces a moral imperative to act? Thirty-eight people were slain in three such shootings in August — in Dayton, Ohio,
and El Paso, as well as West Texas — and still Senate Republicans and President Trump refuse to act."

The rest of the page is devoted to citations of the multitude of mass murders committed
in America over the past decade, most of which were committed via AR-15 assault weapons.
