Kabbage Acquires Radius, Will Gain Data On SMBs

Kabbage, Inc., a data and technology company serving small businesses, will acquire the data platform provider Radius Intelligence, the firm announced on Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed.

As a result of the sale, Kabbage will add almost 20 people to its San Francisco office, and Radius CEO Joel Carusone will join the team to support integration of the two technology platforms.

Radius helps firms unify numerous small business data sets into a single record and with entity resolution, Kabbage says. The acquisition will allow Kabbage to add insights on over 20 million U.S. small businesses to its platform, the company says.

The two firms have “complementary technical architectures and domain experience for decision making,” Carusone states.

Atlanta-based Kabbage provides small businesses with automated cash flow tools, including an online lending platform that it says allows small businesses to quickly access lines of credit.
