Altice One To Add Amazon Prime Video Access

Cable operator Altice USA will add Amazon Prime Video to its Altice One OTT platform “in coming months,” the companies announced.

Optimum and Suddenlink cable customers who use the Altice One program, and pay for a Prime Video subscription, will have access to the Amazon streaming service through the Altice One entertainment and broadband set-top box interface and the Prime Video mobile app.

Prime Video will also be accessible via Altice One’s voice-activated remote control.

Altice One — which already offers access to the Netflix and YouTube apps — features 4K video, high-speed broadband and WiFi, along with integrated access to live, on-demand and streaming video services.

Comcast and Cox Communications also offer Prime Video access through their OTT platforms.

Amazon and Altice recently partnered to launch Altice Amplify, a smart speaker featuring high-fidelity audio from Devialet and built-in Amazon Alexa for smart-home control, including control of Altice One.
