Chicago Agency Motion Acquires Branding/Design Firm Remedy

Chicago-based integrated marketing agency Motion has acquired health-and-wellness-focused branding and design firm Remedy for an undisclosed price.

Remedy founder and president, Carol McCarthy, who started the agency 30 years ago, will join Motion as Executive Vice President, Strategy.

Motion CEO Kimberly Eberl noted that “Carol and I have collaborated for a number of years, and I’ve always held Remedy’s work and colleagues in high regard.”

Remedy has worked with Fortune 250 clients such as Baxter, Abbott and IBM Watson Health, medical device companies and health systems including Chicagoland’s Rush System for Health and the Illinois Medical District.

The healthcare industry has also been an area of focus for Motion over the years. Non-healthcare clients include The Home Depot, Chicago-based energy company Exelon and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
