The Dodo is set to launch 50 unique animal experiences and become Airbnb’s exclusive media partner through a new partnership.
Airbnb Animal Experiences is a new category for the brand, developed to reimagine animal tourism.
The partnership is The Dodo’s first expansion into travel and deepens its live experiential offerings.
The first five of Dodo-curated experiences have been released, each connected to stars from the platforms most popular shows, including “Pittie Nation,” “Odd Couples” and “Ruff Life with Lee Asher.”
The experiences allow guests to meet and connect with animals through the people who take care of them.
The first five experiences include outings in California, New Jersey and Nevada.
With “Picnic with Pickles the Pig,” guests meet Pickles and rescue dog Dill, favorites from the show “Odd Couples,” and their guardian Maddie. “Adventuring with Penni the Dog” connects guests with adventure dog Penni, from Dodo show “Pittie Nation” and her owner Blaine. Fans of “Ruff Life with Lee Asher” can take part in a hiking trip with Asher and his rescue dogs.
The two remaining experiences include a cow safari with animal star Brianna and her baby Winter and an afternoon with Instagram-famous cat Nala in her kitchen.
Airbnb Animal Experiences are “underpinned by an industry-leading animal welfare policy, created in collaboration with World Animal Protection,” Mikel Freemon, Airbnb Animal Experiences, stated.
The Airbnb partnership follows The Dodo’s recent month-long live experience “Best Dog Day Ever: Halloween Edition.”
