Employee Who Fell For Phishing Scam Not Liable, Court Says

An employee who paid out £200,000 in response to a phishing email has won the unusual case filed against her. Scotland’s highest civil court ruled: "The fraudster is the real culprit whoever he or she (or possibly they) may be."
