AWeber Adds AMP Drag-and-Drop Features To Its Message Editor

AWeber has upped its support for AMP (accelerated mobile pages) for Email by incorporating AMP-driven drag-and-drop features into its message editor.

Small businesses can use AMP for Email to create “more interactions with their audience directly inside the inbox,” states Rob Patterson, AWeber’s CMO.

Moreover, they can do this regardless of technical ability, AWeber claims.

AMP for Email is an open-source framework designed to make mobile pages load faster. Email recipients can interact with content without having to click a link to a webpage outside of the email, Google said when announcing it was extending AMP to email in 2018.

Thanks to AMP, consumers can interact with polls, make reservations and manage subscription preferences within the email window.

AWeber announced its support for AMP in July.

Powered by AMP for Email, the AWeber Image Carousel now allows users to drag images into their email templates and turn static documents into dynamic webpage-like experiences, the firm claims.

AWeber plans to add more draggable elements next year. For now, additional AMP for Email capabilities are available through AWeber’s HTML editor and its API.

“AMP for Email is part of the future of email,” states Chris Vasquez, a director of product for the company, a provider of a marketing and automation platform for small business,

Recently, AWeber introduced an intelligent design assistant that it says can generate customized email templates from a website or social media profile for use by small businesses.
