Twilio Donates $3.65 Million To Nonprofits For Crisis Communications

Twilio has awarded $3.65 million in grants to 26 nonprofits in the U.S. and globally to help them expand their crisis communications.

The additional funds are part of the firm’s Crisis Response and Prevention Initiative. When announcing the program in August, Twilio said it would donate $5 million in grants by the end of 2019.

The 26 recipients of these grants include CARE, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Crisis Response Network, Africa’s Voice and John Hopkins University School of Nursing.

The grants are being made through the Twilio.org Impact Fund. To date, the fund has awarded nearly $10 million to social impact organizations.

Twilio helps firms with their communications, including email.
