Good Measure Does Good In Austin, TX

The global pop-up agency that brings together creative talents to benefit one charity for 72 hours has just completed its fifth project in Austin, Texas.

It was led by digital design studio Funsize, with other participating agencies including McGarrah Jessee as the supporting partner, Current Forward as strategic lead and Rooster Teeth as videography lead.

Together they developed a creative campaign and supporting microsite, videography and brand assets supporting Classroom Champions, a national education nonprofit that pairs top athletes with K-8 classrooms to serve as mentors.

Through monthly topics and lesson plans, and digital video and interactions, to date Classroom Champions has brought over 180+ mentors to over a million students. With a strategic brief supplied by Current Forward, the participating agencies developed a campaign with the goal to recruit 50,000 teacher applicants, impacting 15% or more of Texas’ schools.

In addition to this three-day creative initiative, Good Measure collaborated with United by Design, a media company specializing in hand-painted murals, to develop the “Finding Your Stride” public artwork to celebrate Austin’s creative community. The piece now sits at 3900 Drosset.

“We're exploring how murals and other installation art can be a part of our ‘visit’ to cities during Creative Sprints, collaborating with local artists to gift a piece of art back to the city that hosted us,” says a Good Measure representative.

Austin was preceded by a three-day creative pop-up in San Diego. This August 2019 event brought together more than 100 multi-disciplined creatives to create a new brand identity for local nonprofit, Humble Design.

Next, the Good Measure team is heading to Los Angeles in 2020.
