Alkymi Raises $5 Million In Funding

Alkymi, a startup that says it helps enterprises free data from email inboxes, has raised $5 million in seed funding.

The round was led by Canaan with participation from prior investor Work-Bench and new investor SimCorp.

Joydeep Bhattacharyya, general partner at Canaan, will join the Alkymi board.

In addition, Alkymi has formed a machine-learning partnership with global investment software provider SimCorp to help institutional investors.

Alkymi says its machine-learning-based platform frees unstructured data from inboxes and makes it actionable by finance, operations, human resources, CRM, sales, and IT departments.

Customers say the firm’s technology “frees up their business analysts from data entry to actually do what their jobs should be — generating business insight,” states Harald Collet, founder and CEO of Alkymi.
