The
BBC reports Cathay Pacific has been fined GBP500,000 by the ICO for not putting sufficient security in place to prevent the theft of personal information belonging to more than 111,000
British passengers and a further 9.4m from around the world. The low level of the fine reflects the fact that the breach happened before GDPR became law.
