Thrillist president Ocean MacAdams is exiting after nearly three years at Group Nine Media’s food and travel brand.
“After 181 cross-country flights since he started here, I know he is eager to get back to the West Coast,” Ben Lerer, CEO of Group Nine, said in a statement, reported by Variety.
Thrillist will now be led by Chief Content Officer Meghan Kirsch.
Kirsch, a former creative and marketing executive at Vice Media, joined the company last summer, and had reported to MacAdams.
MacAdams joined Thrillist in July 2017, succeeding cofounder Adam Rich as president. He had previously worked at GoPro (as head of entertainment), MSG Networks, Current TV and MTV Networks.
