Blank, Goldstein And Other Valimail Execs Named To New Working Group Roles

Seth Blank, vice president of standards and new technologies for email security firm Valimail, has been named co-chair of the DMARC working group at the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), an open community of network designers, vendors and researchers seeking to improve the workings of the internet.  

In addition, Blank was appointed co-chair of the technical Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group (M3AAWG) a consortium of firms working to stop spam and other internet abuses.

Valimail co-founder and chief technical officer Peter Goldstein was named to the agenda oversight committee of M3AAWG after serving as technical co-chair for two years. And Valimail technical director Ash Wilson was appointed vice chair of the Internet of Things special interest group at M3AAWG. 

In another development, Valimail program manager Madeline McCaffrey was named secretary of the AuthIndicators Working Group, the independent organization that is developing the BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) standard.
