NBCU CEO Jeff Shell Tests Positive For COVID-19

Jeff Shell, who became NBCUniversal’s CEO on Jan. 1, yesterday sent an email to staff informing them that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Shell, who is working remotely from Los Angeles, said that he is “improving every day,” reports NBCUniversal's CNBC.

He also told staff who can work from home to continue doing so indefinitely, both to avoid contracting the virus if possible and to limit the number of colleagues they might inadvertently infect if they do find that they have contracted it.

Shell succeeded Steve Burke as CEO. Burke is now chairman of NBCU.
